Unreal Tournament Problems/Crashes/Errors
Here is a list of problems, errors, crashes and the generally odd things that can happen within Unreal Tournament. This section focuses on problems relating to Unreal Tournament its-self. You can look at our UnrealEd 2.0 and Unreal Tournament Servers error pages for errors that are more specific to those areas.
UT runs at High Speed
Sometimes Unreal can run at high speed, everything is moving very fast its like watching a video at high speed.
This may be caused by a couple of things. First it could be a setting in Unreal Tournament, go to Options->Preferences->Game you should see Game Speed [100%]: default is 100% so try it at 100%.
If this does not help you, you should try installing the latest DirectX and Graphics card drivers. If this doesnt help try changing the Video Driver that Unreal is using, to do this go to Options->Preferences->Video you should see Video Driver and a button Change. Press Change Unreal Tournament will restart and let you choose a new video driver OpenGL is usually the most compatable choice, to see all the drivers available select Show all Devices. Why not try the updated OpenGL Driver
If You have a AMD Athlon Dual-Core or X2 CPU try instaling the Official AMD Dual-Core Optimizer. This worked for me, on my AMD Athlon X2 6000+
Another good option which can solve most problems is to remove user.ini and UnrealTournament.ini from your Unreal Tournament System folder. This will reset every setting to default.
